NGTPS Points Series and how it works…..
>>>>>Click here for entry form.<<<<<
We score the points among points pullers through the “winter” pulling season.
Points will only be scored to the tractors that make it into the finals, However if you pull in the heats and do not qualify for the finals you will be given 25 points towards your overall points total.
Example for finishing in the finals….
- 1st place 50 point
- 2nd place 48 points
- 3rd place 46 points
- 4th place 44 points
- 5th place 42 points
- 6th place 40 points
Continues on down to 30 points if necessary.
If someone wins the pull who doesn’t run points but the 2nd place finisher does, then they would then end up get 50 points as long as he/she is entered into the points series.
In 2024-2025 the National Garden Tractor Pulling series points will be taken place at the following pulls. …
- Princeton, IN – October 4th and 5th, 2024
- Liberty, KY – November 8th and 9th, 2024
- Greenville, KY – January 17th and 16th, 2025
- Jackson, OH – Feburary 28th and March 1st, 2025
- Harrisburg, PA – TDA
- Navarre, OH – TBA
In 2020 we incorporated a drop hook. For instance, if a puller goes out of bounds they can drop the event and still be in the hunt for the points championship. If a puller cannot make the one pull it will not be held against him.
There will essentially be ten events scored for each class if there are five venues as listed above. For example, Super Stock will be scored on Friday and Saturday independently and show on the points total as two separate events. This also changes the available drop hooks to two per class instead of one.
You can take advantage of the drop hooks one of three ways.
- First, you could miss an event like Princeton that has two hooks for a class and that would use up both of your drop hooks for the class.
- Second way to take advantage of the drop hooks, you could miss a Friday at two separate venues but pull on Saturdays if for some reason you weren’t able to make it on Fridays.
- Third way would be to make all the pull but the two worst pulls would be removed from your points total only scoring the best 6 pulls.
The classes that we will be keeping track of points on are
- 30 Cube
- Stock Altered
- Pro Stock
- Super Stock Carb
- Super Stock
- Pro V-Twin
In order for us to make it worthwhile to do the points we will need at least 5 tractors to sign up in each class.
The winner of the points will receive a fire suit jacket it will be embroider as the 2024-2025 National Garden Tractor Points Champion in that particular class. A plaque will also be awarded to the top five.
The cost to enter the points will be $20 per tractor per class that will cover you for the entire year. You can either mail the entry form in to the address on the entry form or enter at Princeton, IN on Thursday and Friday.
